Blair MacIntyre is an Associate Professor in the School of Interactive Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and directs the GVU Center's Augmented Environments Lab. His research focuses on understanding the potential of AR as a new medium for games, entertainment, education and work. Recently, he has been working on handheld AR games, and on using AR as an interface to large-scale virtual worlds like SecondLife. He received a Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1998, and B.Math and M.Math degrees from the University of Waterloo in 1989 and 1991. He is the recipient of an NSF CAREER award.
